Let's get this party started

Once upon a time (I believe any good story should start this way) I was a senior in high school and had my whole life planned out...go off to college, meet the man of my dreams, graduate, get married, and pop my first kid out by 25.  In my mind it was the "American dream".  The years have since passed and my 10 year class reunion is right around the corner.  So,  you're wondering what happened?  Well, life happened, but not the way I planned .

--Jeez this blog is starting out kinda depressing.  Hang this there, it will get better.--

I am a single, childless, 27 year old "career woman" living with my roomie, Leo, in Dallas, TX.  I transformed from a starry-eyed, ignorant little girl into an intelligent, proud fag hag.  Yep, I like boys who like boys.

Now before you jump to conclusions and think that this is going to be one of those crazy stories about how a woman falls head over heels in love with every gay man she meets, think again.  I do love my gay friends, but as a sister loves a brother.  Like my description says, this is the story of how a small town girl's world was shaken when she met a gay man.  This isn't just going to be my story but a collection of thoughts, observations, silliness, and seriousness.  I am dedicated to writing for one solid year about my life as a fag hag.  I will write at least once a week.  I'm hoping to also encourage "my gays" to write a little too...we'll see how cooperative they are.

Stay tuned for story number one...."My So-Called First Gay".

  1. Great blog, keep it up! I've enjoyed reading your posts so far.

Do you think we will actually have a 10 year reunion??? I wonder if many people would come after the 5 year reunion was so poorly attended. I can't believe the 10 year mark is approaching!

  2. I can't believe it's been almost 10 years either. I don't know if anyone will plan a 10 year, much less attend. LOL

With the success of all of the networking sites out there we can keep tabs on all of our classmates without ever seeing anyone in person. It's sad, but true.
