There is still a lot to say to get you all caught up to my life right now, but I needed to let everyone in on whats going on. Leo and I are going through a rough time in our friendship right now. Over the years we have allowed each other to become very close, closer than a gay man and a straight woman should be. We joke about it all the time, but we have become somewhat of a married couple and it's not healthy for either of us. We never meant for our relationship to get to this point, but living with someone for so long you become comfortable with each other and one day you wake up and you're lives are so entwined that you can't seem to seem to separate one from the other.
It will be very difficult for us to make it through this and end up on the other side still as best friends, but I believe that we can do it. When I started writing this blog, I meant for it to be a collection of stories, thoughts, and observations about being a straight woman in the gay culture, but I have recently realized that it is more than that, it is the little stories that make up the best years of my life. The years that I have spent with my best friend. He has been a rock in my life and I have been one for him, but we've both found ourselves at crossroads in our lives, one path leading to our individuals lives and one leading to our lives together. The time has come that we take our own paths but walk them close enough so that we can be supportive of each other. Only time will tell what will happen between me and Leo but we need to figure it out in the next couple months, our lease is up in June.
Don't worry this is not the end of my blog. I still have to tell you about the day that changed my life forever, how me and Leo found ourselves living in TX, and all the little stories in between.
